ATEVE is part of the team ofFunerarium project and "NODE" logistics platform, imagined on the site of the Poterne des Peupliers, Paris 13th, by the Atelier d'Architecture Vincent Parreira (AAVP) and the agency Antonio Virga architect for the Compagnie de Phalsbourg and selected by the jury to reinvent Paris.

The ring road is traditionally neglected and undervalued. The project, on the site of the Poterne des Peupliers, seeks toreconcile the scales of the city and initiate the transition from the city-city to the city-territory. The collective interest is the driving force behind the project and generates an atypical cohabitation of uses: a last-mile logistics space for transporters and a funeral space.

The context suggests a bipartite urban composition: a signal building, hosting the urban logistics platform, visible from the Paris belt but also, on the city side, a volume with a poetic and symbolic dimension, housing the funeral home, creating the transition with the scale nearby urban. The central garden guarantees the coexistence of uses.

Two scales, two programs, which share the same unique and unifying structure. From this base emerge two superstructures that resonate:

THE FUNERAL:From the base to the volume in levitation, a generous ramp serves all the spaces of contemplation, crossing the garden. Massive, mineral and creating a sufficient distance from the street, it is wrapped in a protective metal mesh

THE URBAN LOGISTICS PLATFORM:the raw concrete trays are arranged in a star-shaped plan and are offered as a set of indented and ribbed trays by a radial structure. At the ends of the plan are housed small office spaces with bronze facades. In the inflected spaces of the plan come to nest thick lianas, support for biodiversity.
New tool for the reappropriation of this complex territory, this mixed program tries to propose a response to the height of the mutation of the territory of the Paris belt.
